ThreeBond Fushing Challenge 2026 Round 2 Oct. 1, 2026 The NT$1 million 2026 ThreeBond Fushing Challenge concluded its final round today, October 1, at the Hsin-Yi Golf Club in Kaohsiung following a tense battle. Huang Hsiang-hao and local player Lin Yi-yuan traded blows down the stretch, finishing level through 18 holes to force a sudden-death playoff on the par-5 18th. Huang converted a birdie to edge out Lin's par, staging a dramatic comeback to capture the title and the NT$150,000 top prize. This victory marks Huang's second ThreeBond Challenge Tour title, ending an 11-year drought. Huang fired a bogey-free, 5-under-par 67, while Lin carded a 69, leaving both players tied at 7-under-par 137 after 36 holes. In the playoff on the 18th, Huang reached the green in two and two-putted for birdie. Lin's second shot overshot the green slightly, leaving a chip that came up light and a 6.5-foot birdie putt that slipped past. He settled for par to finish as the runner-up, earning NT$75,000. Yang Hao powered to a 66 to claim the NT$20,000 round lowest score award, finishing tied for third at 138 alongside Chen Po-hao (who shot 68) and defending champion Li Jui-shen (69). Li Chao-hua carded a 68 and Lin Ta-yu shot a 71 to tie for sixth place at 139. Opening-day co-leader Yang Fei-hao signed for a 72 to finish eighth at 140. Amateur Tu Li-hao carded a 71 to finish tied for ninth at 3-under-par 141 alongside Chiang Yi-an, claiming the amateur champion title and accompanying prizes, which included five dozen Srixon Z-Star Diamond golf balls sponsored by Dunlop Sports Taiwan and an Omnix golf bag sponsored by Somax International Co., Ltd. Tu is a former Hsin-Yi Golf Club trainee currently training at the Nan I Golf Club. Turning professional in 2013, Huang previously won the ThreeBond Yeangder Challenge in 2015—also through a playoff victory against two opponents. Reflecting on his win after 11 years, the 35-year-old noted its immense significance, especially when competing against a surging wave of long-hitting, talented young players. The victory has injected massive confidence into his career, prompting him to rethink his future plans after previously considering shifting his focus toward teaching starting next year. Huang expressed gratitude to Chairman Hong of the "Big House" golf team for recommending him for the entry, along with his family, sponsors, and the Dreamers Education Foundation, which sponsored his China Tour appearances two years ago. Currently ranked 57th on the Taiwan Tour Order of Merit, Huang's goal is to break into the top 35 by the end of the season, with one remaining event on the calendar: the upcoming Mercuries Life Insurance Open in early November. Huang noted that he started the day 2-under-par and two strokes off the lead, aiming for a 6-under total across the two rounds. A strong front nine yielded three birdies for a 33, allowing him to overtake overnight co-leader Lin Yi-yuan and draw level at 5-under at the turn. After adding another birdie on the 11th to reach his 6-under target, his momentum stalled briefly before catching fire again down the stretch, culminating in a tie with Lin after 15 holes. Realizing from the 17th leaderboard that multiple players stood at 6-under, Huang knew a birdie on the 18th was essential to win or force a playoff. He struck his second shot to the edge of the green and chipped to 5 feet before sinking the putt to reach 7-under. Huang highlighted his driver and short game as his greatest weapons, pointing to crucial par-saving chip-and-putts on the 9th and 16th holes, alongside a brilliant chip-in from 20 yards out on the 3rd hole. Playing in the final pairing, Lin Yi-yuan carded four birdies and a bogey, executing a 6-foot birdie putt on the final hole of regulation to force the playoff. However, missing his birdie opportunity in the extra frame resulted in a runner-up finish. The 36-hole tournament featured 88 players, comprising 80 professionals and 8 amateurs, competing for the championship trophy and the NT$150,000 top prize. Taiwan Fushing has continuously sponsored the ThreeBond Challenge Tour for nine consecutive years since 2019, following its initial collaborative title sponsorships with the Pao-Wei Group and later Ming An International Enterprise starting in 2018. Chairman Lin Jui-chang also continues to sponsor the Order of Merit bonuses for both the TPGA Taiwan Tour and the ThreeBond Challenge Tour this season, adding supplemental prizes of NT$500,000, NT$300,000, and NT$200,000 for the top three finishers on each money list, totaling NT$2 million. This marks Taiwan Fushing's 8th consecutive year providing tour-level Order of Merit bonuses. Serving as the 5th leg of the ThreeBond TPGA Challenge Tour season, the top 5 players on the final challenge tour money list will earn automatic exemptions onto the Taiwan Tour next year. Although the hole-in-one prizes provided by Taiwan Fushing Industrial Chairman Lin Jui-chang (NT$100,000 per hole across holes 3, 6, 13, and 17) went unclaimed during competition, Chairman Lin generously allocated the full NT$100,000 into 10 separate NT$10,000 lucky-draw prizes for players during the awards ceremony. Furthermore, Yu Shan Technology sponsored two of its latest smart home appliances, being instant-heat RO ice-water dispensers, for player lucky draws, with Yu Shan Technology General Manager Liu Hsien-wen enthusiastically adding a third unit on-site to bring the total to three. ThreeBond is an international manufacturer originating from professional industrial adhesives in Japan, maintaining a long-standing sponsorship of former TPGA President Chen Chih-chung for over 40 years and serving as the total title sponsor of the ThreeBond TPGA Challenge Tour for 12 consecutive years.
