ThreeBond Advanced Challenge Tour Final Round

2026 ThreeBond Advanced Challenge

Round 2

Oct. 7, 2026

The NT$1.1 million 2026 ThreeBond Advanced Challenge concluded its final round today, October 7, at the Hsin-Yi Golf Club in Kaohsiung. Both the professional and amateur divisions delivered intense battles that ultimately required sudden-death playoffs to determine the champions. Chen Ting-yu secured a dramatic comeback victory in the professional division by converting a 3-foot birdie putt on the first extra hole against Lin Wei, claiming the title alongside an elevated champion's share of NT$250,000 for his second victory of the season. He also fired a 67 to claim the NT$30,000 round lowest score award. With this win, Chen maintains his grip on the top spot of the ThreeBond Challenge Tour Order of Merit, positioning himself as a strong contender to become the tour's first-ever left-handed money list champion.

This victory comes on the heels of Chen's maiden professional win at the Kaohsiung Open in April. After turning professional last June, he expressed heartfelt gratitude to his family, fitness coaches Huang Kuo-lun and Tian Yu, club technician Dan Di, the Sunrise Golf and Country Club, and his girlfriend for their unwavering support.

Lin Wei shot a 69 for a two-round total of 7-under-par 137, finishing tied with Chen before falling in the playoff to take home runner-up honors and NT$75,000.

Huang Chih-yi and Lin Chen-chu both carded 71s to finish tied for third at 6-under-par 138.

Lin Yuan-wei posted a 68 for a 139 total to place fifth, while Hsieh Tung-hung shot a 72 to finish sixth at 140.

In the amateur division, Dagangshan-trained amateur Hsieh Yao-yu shot a 72 and Ke Liang-yu carded a 69, tying at 143 to force a playoff on the 18th hole. Hsieh sealed the amateur title by draining a 16-foot birdie putt on the first extra hole to defeat Ke's par. Hsieh finished tied for 19th overall in the professional field and claimed the amateur champion supplementary prizes, consisting of five dozen Srixon Z-Star Diamond golf balls sponsored by Dunlop Sports Taiwan and an Omnix golf bag provided by Shang Chong International Co., Ltd. Additionally, the top three amateur finishers—champion Hsieh Yao-yu, runner-up Ke Liang-yu, and third-place Tseng Ssu-en—each received a TaylorMade Qi4D driver valued at NT$22,200, courtesy of Advanced International Multitech Co., Ltd.

Furthermore, Chen Chieh-sheng claimed the second shot closest to the pin award on the 9th hole by landing 240 centimeters from the cup, earning a NT$20,000 cash prize.

Starting the day 2-under-par and three strokes behind the leaders from the fourth-to-last group, Chen Ting-yu caught fire on the front nine with four birdies through seven holes to cut the deficit to two. Despite a minor iron miscue on the 8th, he shot a 33 at the turn to remain three shots back. Realizing from the 15th leaderboard that he still trailed by three with three holes remaining, Chen summoned a clutch finish by birdieing the 16th with a 15-foot putt and capitalizing on the par-5 18th with a crisp pitch-and-putt for a 3-foot birdie, carding a 34 on the back to post a 7-under total.

Meanwhile, overnight leader Lin Wei started the day at 4-under and played aggressively on the front nine, collecting four birdies to reach 8-under and seize a two-shot cushion by the 7th hole. He maintained a steady two-to-three-shot lead through the back nine until a bogey on the 16th narrowed his advantage to a single stroke. On the par-5 18th hole of regulation, Lin's third shot finished just short of the green on the fringe, leading to a fourth-shot chip to 3 feet and a tap-in par that closed the door on a regulation win. In the subsequent playoff on the 18th, Lin's second shot found the greenside bunker behind the putting surface; his third shot settled 14 feet from the pin, and his missed birdie putt handed the championship to Chen.

Chen shared that fine-tuning his chipping and putting mechanics this season has yielded significant improvements, which heavily contributed to his victory this week. Currently ranked 61st on the Taiwan Tour Order of Merit, his goal is to secure a top-two finish at the final Taiwan Tour event in early November to break into the top 40 on the money list.

The round lowest score award of NT$30,000 per round was generously provided by Hydronix Water Technology International Corp. Chairman Wang Fu-chung.

Although the hole-in-one prizes provided by Advanced International Multitech Co., Ltd. across the four par-3s for the two rounds went unclaimed, Advanced International Multitech fulfilled its pledge by donating the full NT$100,000 to the Taiwan Professional Golf Association (TPGA) as a golf development fund during the post-tournament ceremony.

This tournament marks Advanced International Multitech Co., Ltd.'s 9th consecutive year as a title sponsor for Taiwanese professional men's golf events, and serves as the 6th leg of the nine-event ThreeBond Challenge Tour season.

The tournament offers a total prize purse featuring an elevated champion's share of NT$250,000, as the original NT$150,000 top prize is boosted by an additional NT$10,000 for the fifth consecutive year from Parjet Co., Ltd. Chairman Lin Chao-hsien. Played under a non-cut format across 36 holes, the top 40 players upon the conclusion of the second-round finals received prize money.

Advanced International Multitech previously co-titled the Advanced Fushing Challenge with Taiwan Fushing Industrial in September 2018 before taking over as the sole title sponsor in 2019, continuing their sponsorship of the men's challenge tour for nine straight years through this season.

ThreeBond is an international manufacturer originating from professional industrial adhesives in Japan, maintaining a long-standing sponsorship of former TPGA President and current Challenge Tour CEO Chen Chih-chung for over 40 years and serving as the total title sponsor of the ThreeBond TPGA Challenge Tour for 12 consecutive years. The tour features nine events this season.

Taiwan Fushing Industrial Chairman Lin Jui-chang continues to sponsor the Order of Merit bonuses for the top three finishers on both the Taiwan Tour and the ThreeBond Challenge Tour, offering NT$500,000, NT$300,000, and NT$200,000 respectively, totaling NT$2 million.
