2025 Trustgolf Asian Mixed III Final Round

Mixed III

Final Round

2025/8/22

The 2025 TrustGolf Asian Mixed tournament, co-sanctioned and organized by Thailand's TrustGolf, the PGA of Taiwan (TPGA), and the Taiwan Ladies Professional Golf Association (TLPGA), concluded the third and final event today (22nd) at Lake View Resort & Golf Club in Hua Hin, Thailand. Thailand's “Pocket Rocket” PK Kongkraphan delivered a spectacular performance, carding two eagles, six birdies, and zero bogeys for a remarkable 10-under-par 61. She finished with a three-round total of 21-under-par 192, winning by two strokes to claim the championship trophy and the top prize of 750,000 THB (approx. NT$682,500). This marked the first and only time across the three tournaments that a female player claimed the title.

After the victory, PK said that winning every tournament—whether in Thailand or Taiwan—makes her happy, but winning at home is even more special. “I'm even more delighted because this tournament had men and women competing together. It proves my ability to win and shows the fairness of this event.”

Thailand's Poom Saksansin also delivered an outstanding performance, making 10 birdies and no bogeys for a 61, finishing second at 19-under-par 194 and earning 500,000 THB (approx. NT$455,000).

Taiwan's Chan Shih-chang fought hard with a 63, finishing sixth at 14-under-par 199, securing the best result among Taiwanese players.

Wang Wei-hsuan, who had a rough opening round, rebounded strongly over the last two days. Today he made nine birdies and two bogeys for a 64, finishing at 201, tied for eighth with two other players.

Thailand's Chapchai Nirat also caught fire, making 10 birdies on his way to a 61, securing solo third place at 18-under-par 195.

Thai amateur star TK Ratchanon Chantananuwat shot a 69, finishing at 10-under-par 203, tied for 14th, and claimed the award for best amateur.

Chan Shih-chang's round today included nine birdies and one bogey, with six birdies on the front nine for a 30 and three more on the back nine alongside a bogey for a 33. Afterward, he shared that his irons were especially sharp on the front nine, leaving him with 6-to-9-foot birdie chances that he capitalized on, including three consecutive birdies from holes 5 to 7. On the back nine, he made another streak of three straight birdies from holes 11 to 13, highlighted by a stunning 12-foot right-to-left breaking putt on the 11th and an even more impressive 24-foot downhill breaker on the 12th. He added another birdie on the 13th but cooled off late, missing chances and bogeying the par-3 17th after overshooting the green and failing to recover.

He explained that after nine holes, he was at 15-under, just two shots behind PK, and believed he had a chance to catch her. “But PK just kept playing better and better while I couldn’t create more birdie chances,” Chan said. “Still, finishing as the top Taiwanese player for the second time in this series is some consolation.”

Runner-up Poom Saksansin, who ranked 25th on last season’s TPGA money list, said he was pleased with his performance, particularly his putting today. “I made several long putts, which was a big improvement from last week when I struggled badly, even three-putting many holes and missing the cut after two rounds. This week, I worked with a putting specialist, and it made a huge difference. My iron play also improved, and I regained my confidence.”

At the award ceremony, TrustGolf founder Dr. Prin Singhanart said: “I sincerely thank TLPGA and TPGA for their wonderful cooperation with TrustGolf in organizing the three Asian Mixed Series tournaments. These events are a true celebration of golf in Asia, and they would not have been possible without everyone’s dedication, hard work, and support. It has been an honor to work alongside such passionate and professional organizations, and I truly value the friendship and trust we have built. I believe this partnership will inspire more exciting opportunities for players and fans in the future.”

This event marked the 12th tournament of the TPGA Taiwan Tour season and the first time that TrustGolf, TLPGA, and TPGA jointly sanctioned an international-level competition overseas.

The “TrustGolf Asian Mixed” series consists of three tournaments, each featuring a total purse of 5 million THB (approx. NT$4.55M). All three events are 54-hole, three-round stroke-play competitions where men and women compete together in the same field, with results combined. The winner earns 750,000 THB (approx. NT$682,500), the runner-up receives 500,000 THB (approx. NT$455,000), and third place earns 300,000 THB (approx. NT$278,000).

The tournaments were all played at Lake View Resort & Golf Club, with the first held on the C & D courses, the second on A & B, and the third again on A & B. Since men and women compete in mixed groups, they tee off from different markers, with a 12% distance adjustment between the two sets of tees.
