2025 Trust Golf Asian Mixed

Press Release

Release Date: July 23, 2025

Co-sanctioned and organized by Trust Golf, the PGA of Taiwan (TPGA), and the Taiwan Ladies Professional Golf Association (TLPGA), the 2025 TRUSTGOLF Asian Mixed will kick off its first event from July 24 to 26 at Lake View Resort & Golf Club in Hua Hin, Thailand. The field consists of 132 male and female players from nine countries, including professionals from the TPGA and TLPGA tours as well as professionals and amateurs invited by Trust Golf.

This is the first-ever international tournament co-sanctioned by Trust Golf, TLPGA, and TPGA, and also marks the first time TPGA and TLPGA have jointly certified an event overseas, each sending top male and female players to compete abroad.

The TRUSTGOLF Asian Mixed Series comprises three events. The first leg offers a total prize purse of THB 5 million and will be contested over 54 holes of stroke play. Scores of male and female players will be combined on a single leaderboard. Among the 132 participants are 40 TPGA Tour male players, 40 TLPGA Tour female players, 36 male professionals invited or recommended by Trust Golf, and 16 amateurs (7 female and 9 male). After two rounds, the top 60 players will advance to the final round.

The TPGA field includes 40 players from Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, the United States, and Italy, while the TLPGA field comprises 40 players from Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, Malaysia, and Singapore. Additionally, Trust Golf brings in 52 players from Thailand, Myanmar, Scotland, and the United States, making a total of nine countries represented.

The TPGA contingent features a strong lineup, including the top 34 players from the 2024 TPGA money list, such as Thailand’s Suteepat, last year’s money leader; Taiwan’s Liu Yong-hua (No. 3), Wang Wei-hsuan (No. 4), Lu Wei-chih (No. 7), Su Chin-hung (No. 8), Yeh Yu-chen (No. 10), and Chan Shih-chang (No. 17). Also in the field are Thailand’s Tawit (No. 11), Nirut (No. 19), Warun (No. 23), and Poom (No. 25). Veteran Thai star Varachai, well-known to local fans, is among the invitees from Trust Golf, making this a showdown of seasoned and emerging players from Taiwan and Thailand.

Since male and female professionals will play in mixed pairings, the course setup differs by gender, with a 12% difference in yardage. The men’s tees measure 7,081 yards, while the women’s tees measure 6,204 yards. Lake View Resort & Golf Club is located in Hua Hin, a famous beach resort area about a 3.5-hour drive south of Bangkok.

Fresh off his victory at the Din Yue Open last week at Wu Fong Golf Course, Wang Wei-hsuan said he is familiar with Lake View, having played two Asian Tour Qualifying School events there. “This time, the conditions are different. The fairways are wetter, and the wind direction is completely opposite. However, the greens hold better, so even from the rough, there’s a chance to hit the green and make birdie. The tees are farther forward compared to when I played Q-School, so I can be more aggressive this week, especially on the par-5s,” he said.

After his practice round today, Wang added, “The greens are rolling smoothly, and putting accuracy will be key to scoring low. My goal this week is to go as low as possible and chase the championship.”
