Press Release November 3, 2026 The eighth and final event of the 2026 CHAU-SHI Series, the Da Jia Charity Open, will take place from November 4 to 7 at CCK Golf Club, featuring four rounds of 72-hole stroke play. The tournament also marks the final event of the 2026 Taiwan PGA Tour season. With a total purse of NT$3 million, the tournament has attracted 120 players from seven countries and regions, including 111 professionals and nine amateurs. The champion will take home NT$500,000, while defending champion Huang Yi-tseng will be seeking to retain his title. This is the second consecutive year that the Da Jia Charity Association has served as the title sponsor of a Taiwan PGA Tour event. As the season finale, the tournament also represents the last opportunity for players to compete for the money titles and top-three positions on both the Taiwan PGA Tour and the CHAU-SHI Series money lists, setting the stage for an intensely competitive week. The tournament is held under the overall title sponsorship of Mr. Wong Chau-shi, Honorary Chairman of the Mercuries Group, and organized by the Taiwan Professional Golfers' Association (TPGA), with the Da Jia Charity Association serving as the event title sponsor and co-organizer, and CCK Golf Club as the supporting venue. This marks the second collaboration between the Da Jia Charity Association and TPGA in organizing a men's professional golf tournament in Taiwan. Competition for the CHAU-SHI Series money title and the top three positions remains particularly intense. According to the latest standings, Chan Shih-chang, currently ranked second, is the only player with a realistic chance of overtaking money leader Wang Wei-hsuan. Wang currently leads the CHAU-SHI Series money list with NT$1.538 million, followed by Chan with NT$1.2725 million, a difference of NT$265,500. Wang will not compete this week as he is in Japan participating in the Japan Golf Tour qualifying tournament. A victory this week would allow Chan to overtake Wang and claim the CHAU-SHI Series money title. However, if Chan fails to win, Wang will be crowned the 2026 CHAU-SHI Series money leader. Hung Chien-yao currently occupies third place with NT$753,866, followed by Peng Hsiung in fourth with NT$723,857, Mark in fifth with NT$697,757, and Ho Yu-cheng in sixth with NT$695,200. On the Taiwan PGA Tour's overall annual money list, Hung Chien-yao leads with NT$11,944,754, while Wang Wei-hsuan sits second with NT$4,447,287. Given the substantial gap between the two players and Wang's absence from this week's tournament, Hung has already secured the 2026 Taiwan PGA Tour money title. The CHAU-SHI Series also offers a special annual money leader award. The player who finishes atop the CHAU-SHI Series money list will receive an additional NT$250,000 bonus sponsored by Mr. Lin Kuo-er, Chairman of Hong Lin Construction, along with an exemption into the following year's Mercuries Taiwan Masters. Meanwhile, Mr. Lin Jui-chang, Chairman of Taiwan Fu Hsing Industrial Co., Ltd., is providing bonus prizes for the Taiwan PGA Tour's annual money leader and top three finishers for the eighth consecutive year. This is also the fifth consecutive year that the top three finishers will receive NT$500,000, NT$300,000, and NT$200,000, respectively. The tournament field consists of 120 players representing seven countries and regions: Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, the United States, and Chinese Taipei. The field includes 24 overseas professionals, 87 Taiwanese professionals, and nine Taiwanese amateurs. Japan accounts for the largest contingent of overseas players, with 14 participants. An 18-hole pre-tournament Pro-Am was held on November 3 at CCK Golf Club, featuring 38 professionals paired with more than 120 amateur participants. The competition was played under a modified scramble format. Professional Wen Chen-hsiang and his three amateur teammates combined to shoot a 13-under-par 59 to claim the Pro-Am title. Each of the three amateur players on the winning team received a YAMAHA inpres X fairway wood. During the Pro-Am awards dinner, Mr. Liao Chi-yu, Chairman of the Da Jia Charity Association, stated that the association had created this platform to give professional golfers an opportunity to showcase their skills. He expressed optimism about the favorable weather forecast for the coming days and his confidence that the players would deliver outstanding performances. He also encouraged the competitors to make the most of the opportunity in recognition of the tremendous efforts of Mr. Wang Chien-kuo, Head of the Advisory Committee, who had worked tirelessly to raise funds for the tournament. The Da Jia Charity Association is a legally established, nationwide nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to promoting public welfare and encouraging acts of kindness and generosity. By bringing together individuals willing to contribute either financially or through volunteer service, the association upholds the spirit of empathy and mutual assistance, treating the suffering of others as its own. Its mission includes promoting social welfare, moral education, and charitable activities. The association provides assistance to disadvantaged groups, elderly people living alone, and children and young people in need, offering educational support, daily necessities, and psychological care. It also cooperates with government agencies and other organizations in implementing social welfare programs and public-interest initiatives. The CHAU-SHI Series was initiated by Mr. Wong Chau-shi, one of the founders of Mercuries & Associates and Honorary Chairman of the Mercuries Group. In 2021, the COVID-19 pandemic caused a significant reduction in the number of Taiwan PGA Tour tournaments and overall prize money. In response, Mr. Wong personally provided title sponsorship for six tournaments, contributing NT$2 million to each event, for a total of NT$12 million. His support helped establish the foundation of the 2021 Taiwan PGA Tour schedule. Now in its sixth consecutive year, the CHAU-SHI Series continues under the same sponsorship model, with Mr. Wong contributing NT$1.5 million in prize money to each tournament. The 2026 series consists of eight events. Eleven of the top 15 players on the latest Taiwan PGA Tour annual money list are competing this week, including No. 1 Hung Chien-yao, No. 3 Chang Wei-lun, No. 5 Chan Shih-chang, No. 6 Hsieh Ting-wei, No. 8 Huang Yi-tseng, No. 9 American player Shotaro Ban, No. 10 Su Chin-hung, No. 11 Mark, No. 12 Ho Yu-cheng, No. 13 Lu Wei-chih, and No. 15 Chan Chia-han. The field features a strong mix of experienced professionals and emerging young talents. Following the first two rounds, the top 50 players based on aggregate scores will advance to the final two rounds. The champion will receive NT$500,000, while the runner-up will earn NT$250,000. CCK Golf Club, the host venue of the Da Jia Charity Open, is a 50-year-old golf course featuring 18 holes, a par of 72, and a total length of 7,140 yards. Although the course is relatively long and its fairways are lined with trees, it generally favors long hitters who can maintain accuracy off the tee. The flat terrain and dry conditions allow additional bounce and roll, making it easier for powerful players to approach the greens with shorter clubs. However, the elevated greens and surrounding rough will still demand precise approach shots and careful distance control. The tournament also features special hole-in-one prizes. Hole-in-One Prizes For holes No. 4, 11, and 17, CCK Golf Club will award NT$20,000 for each hole-in-one. In addition, Da An Group will offer a complimentary one-night stay in the Presidential Suite at Lishan Guest House for a hole-in-one on any hole. The prize is available without restrictions on the number of holes-in-one or recipients and may be redeemed on either weekdays or holidays. Spectators will not be permitted to follow players onto the course during the four tournament rounds. Public access will be restricted to designated viewing areas near the teeing grounds of holes No. 1 and 10 and the greens of holes No. 9 and 18. Highlights from the final two rounds will be edited into two 60-minute programs, scheduled for broadcast at 4:00 p.m. on November 19 and 20, respectively. This year's tournament coverage will be available on the Taiwan Professional Golfers' Association's official Facebook page, Zhi Lin Sports Channel, and YouTube.
