Wang Wei-hsuan, seeking a three-peat, maintained his steady performance by carding a 2-under-par 70. With a three-round total of 16-under-par 200, he retains his sole lead heading into the final day. Hung Chien-yao posted the day's lowest score with a 66, bringing his total to 13-under-par 203 to sit in second place, three strokes behind the leader. Japan's Shori Ishizuka carded a 68 for a total of 205, trailing by five strokes in third place. The final round will take place tomorrow to determine the champion, who will claim the NT$650,000 grand prize. The top three players in the leading group will tee off together from the 1st hole in the final group at 8:25 AM, with the tournament expected to conclude shortly after 1:00 PM, followed immediately by the awards ceremony. Yu Sung-po shot a 67 and Chang Wei-lun carded a 68, placing them both tied for fourth place at a total of 207, seven shots off the lead. This tournament is title-sponsored individually by Wong Chau-shi, Honorary Chairman of the Mercuries Group. It is organized by the Taiwan Professional Golf Association (TPGA), with the Qing Lian Group and HDF Precision Technology CO., LTD serving as the single-tournament title sponsors, and the Chang Hwa Golf Club as the co-organizer. This marks the third consecutive year that the Qing Lian Group and HDF Precision Technology CO., LTD have title-sponsored this event, and the Qing Lian Group has announced it will continue to title-sponsor this Taiwan Tour event for the next three years. Holding the sole lead for three consecutive days, Wang Wei-hsuan carded four birdies and two bogeys. He played solidly on the front nine, converting birdie putts from 4 and 9 feet on the 5th and 8th holes for a 33. On the back nine, aside from successfully birdieing the par-5 10th hole and sinking a 6-foot birdie putt on the 12th, he stumbled with a three-putt on the par-3 11th and missed a 12-foot par save on the 16th, taking two bogeys for a 37. He stated after the round that his driving was okay and his chipping was acceptable, but his putting was somewhat unsatisfactory with 30 putts. However, because his tee shots landed slightly wider than yesterday and frequently rolled into the rough near the fairway, distance control for his chipping was difficult. A total of 139 players from 5 countries are competing, including 106 players from Taiwan (98 professionals and 8 amateurs) and 33 international professionals from Italy, Japan, Thailand, and the United States. To help accelerate the pace of play, tournament officials permitted players to ride in golf carts between holes throughout the week, as well as for the entirety of holes 10 and 11 starting from the second round. This tournament is the fifth of eight events on this year’s CHAU-SHI Series. The series features a special year-end Order of Merit title, where the top-ranked money leader will receive a bonus of NT$250,000 provided by Lin Kuo-er, Chairman of Red Forest Construction, along with an exemption into the 2027 Taiwan Mercuries Masters. The CHAU-SHI Series was initiated by Weng Chau-shi, co-founder of Mercuries & Associates and Honorary Chairman of the Mercuries Group. In 2021, when the pandemic severely impacted the schedule and prize pools of the Taiwan Tour, Weng stepped forward to personally title-sponsor six tournaments at NT$2 million each, establishing the foundation for the tour's revival. This is the sixth consecutive year the series has been held under the same title-sponsorship model, with eight events scheduled for this season, each offering a sponsored prize purse of NT$1.5 million. The Chang Hwa Golf Club course measures 6,816 yards. To increase the competitive challenge, the 6th hole—originally a 477-yard par-5—will be played as a par-4, changing the front nine par from 36 to 35. Combined with the 37-par back nine, the course plays to a total par of 72. Special Awards: Hole-in-One Prizes: NT$10,000 provided by the club for holes 2, 9, 11, and 16.
