Ever Glory ADT Open 2026 Pre-Tournament and Pro-Am Release

July 7, 2026

The Ever Glory ADT Open 2026 will be held from July 8 to 11 at Dong Hua Elite Golf Club. The tournament will be contested over 72 holes across four rounds and carries a total prize purse of US$100,000 (approximately NT$3.1 million), with the champion receiving US$17,500 (approximately NT$542,500). A total of 144 players from 25 countries and regions will compete for the title. This marks the first time that Ever Glory Construction has become the title sponsor of an Asian Development Tour event.

An 18-hole Pro-Am Tournament was held today at Dong Hua Elite Golf Club, where 36 professional golfers teamed up with more than 100 amateur participants. The Pro-Am was contested under the New Scramble format, with the team consisting of professional Chang Wei-lun and three amateur partners capturing the title with a score of 12-under-par 60. Each amateur member of the winning team received a PGX GEN4 Hybrid Club, sponsored by PGX Technology Co., Ltd.

The tournament is title-sponsored by Ever Glory Construction, and is jointly sanctioned by the Taiwan Professional Golfers' Association (TPGA) and the Asian Development Tour (ADT). It is the eighth event of the 2026 ADT season and also the first of three consecutive ADT tournaments to be held in Taiwan as part of the TPGA Tour schedule. The ADT features 13 tournaments during the 2026 season. This also marks the first time that Ever Glory Construction has partnered with TPGA to sponsor an ADT tournament.

For Ever Glory Construction, serving as title sponsor represents far more than supporting a single tournament. It reflects the company's long-term commitment to sports and its broader strategy of contributing to society through athletic development. Chairman Hsieh Chien-kuo, a former national basketball player, has long been dedicated to nurturing sporting talent and passing on the spirit of competition. The company's corporate culture has likewise been deeply influenced by the values of sportsmanship.

As an entrepreneur giving back to the basketball community, Chairman Hsieh, an avid basketball supporter, has organized the Ever Glory Cup Charity Basketball Tournament for 12 consecutive years, investing approximately NT$15 million annually to cultivate young basketball players. The tournament provides opportunities for grassroots athletes while promoting the development of youth sports in Taiwan and encouraging international exchanges. Chairman Hsieh's support for sports extends well beyond basketball, encompassing both athletics and education. Ever Glory Construction has also donated funds to support the volleyball team at the National Taipei University of Education, demonstrating its continued commitment to the development of grassroots athletes.

This year, Chairman Hsieh has expanded his support of sports into professional golf, helping Taiwan's golf industry become more closely connected with the international stage while giving back to society and the sporting community in an even broader way. Through hosting an ADT tournament, Ever Glory Construction hopes to provide Taiwanese golfers with greater opportunities to achieve success on home soil and familiar courses. More importantly, the company hopes to help local players use the ADT as a stepping stone to earn Asian Tour membership and ultimately compete for titles at an even higher level.

The objective behind sponsoring an ADT event is to create more opportunities for Taiwan's young golfers aspiring to compete internationally. As the TPGA Tour now awards Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) points, staging more international tournaments in Taiwan allows players to earn additional world ranking points while supporting the next generation of Taiwanese golfers in pursuing their dreams.

Furthermore, professional golfers competing regularly on the TPGA Tour, particularly younger players, will benefit from the opportunity to compete alongside rising talents from across Asia, gaining valuable competitive experience and further elevating their standard of play.

In addition, the scheduling of the Ever Glory ADT Open, together with the following two consecutive ADT tournaments, enables Taiwanese players currently competing on the Asian Tour, including Wang Wei-hsuan, Chang Wei-lun, Chan Shih-chang, Hung Chien-yao, and Liu Yung-hua, to compete in their home country while earning ADT Order of Merit points and Official World Golf Ranking points, further increasing Taiwan's chances of keeping the championship trophy on home soil.

The tournament has attracted 144 competitors from 25 countries and regions, comprising 81 overseas professionals, 62 Taiwanese professionals, and one Taiwanese amateur. Participating countries and regions include Argentina, Australia, Bangladesh, China, Chinese Taipei, Denmark, England, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, the Philippines, Scotland, Singapore, South Africa, Sweden, Thailand, the United States, and Vietnam.

The international field features a number of formidable contenders. Four players currently ranked among the top 10 on the ADT Order of Merit are competing this week, including Michele Ortolani of Italy, who currently sits third, Runchanapong Youprayong of Thailand, currently fourth, Pukhraj Singh Gill of India, ranked sixth, and Siddikur Rahman of Bangladesh, who is eighth in the current standings.

Heading Taiwan's challenge for the title is Chan Shih-chang, who is currently 80th on the ADT Order of Merit. Also returning from the Asian Tour are Taiwan's leading players Lee Chieh-po, Wang Wei-hsuan, currently 50th on the Asian Tour Order of Merit, Hung Chien-yao (58th), Chang Wei-lun (73rd), and Liu Yung-hua (107th).

Among Taiwanese players, Su Chin-hung, currently 13th on the ADT Order of Merit, is the nation's highest-ranked player on the tour. He will be joined by Ho Yu-cheng, Hsieh Ting-wei, Chen Yi-tung, and Huang Yi-tseng, all of whom are striving to improve their positions in the ADT rankings while aiming to keep the championship trophy in Taiwan.

Following the completion of the first two rounds, the leading 50 players and ties will advance to the final two rounds.

The tournament course will play to 7,176 yards. Both the driving areas and approach shots into the greens present significant challenges, while the thick rough, demanding recovery shots around the greens, and the subtle reading of the putting surfaces further increase the course's degree of difficulty. Both domestic and international competitors will face a stern test of every aspect of their game.
