Final Round Press Release

April 30, 2026

The final round of the Winnway International Challenge, the third stop of the 2026 ThreeBond Challenge Tour, took place today (30th) at the Hsin Yi Golf Club in Kaohsiung. Su Chin-hung, the local favorite sponsored by Winnway International, delivered a top-tier performance, carding a 4-under 68 with five birdies and one bogey. He finished with a two-round total of 9-under 135, winning the championship by a three-stroke margin and taking home the prize money of NT$150,000.

This marks Su Chin-hung's sixth title in the three years since turning professional (five Challenge Tour titles and one TPGA Tour title). In 2024, he secured four victories on the ThreeBond Challenge Tour, and last year he claimed his first TPGA Tour title at the season-opening Chang Wah Open. However, Su noted that this tournament was particularly meaningful as he helped facilitate the event to give back to the Challenge Tour stage, and it was the inaugural title-sponsored event by his primary sponsor, Winnway International.

Lo Cheng-yuan fought hard for a 67, finishing solo second with a two-round total of 6-under 138 and earning NT$75,000. Hsu Chao-wei shot a 69 to take third place with a total of 139.

Original co-leaders Wu Zhi-yi (73), Lai Chia-i (70), and Lin Wei (71) all finished with a total of 140, ending in a three-way tie for fourth place.

The competition among amateur players was exceptionally fierce. Ruan Yi-qi, who started the day leading Tseng Szu-en by one stroke, carded a 73 today, while Tseng shot a 72. Both finished with a two-round total of 145, tying for 28th place on the professional leaderboard. According to tournament regulations, a sudden-death playoff was held to determine the amateur champion. After three playoff holes (starting from the 10th), both players made pars on the first two holes. On the third hole (the par-4 12th), Ruan made another par, while Tseng suffered a bogey following a mistake on his second shot. Consequently, Ruan Yi-qi emerged victorious, claiming the amateur championship trophy and prizes, which included five dozen SRIXON Z-STAR DIAMOND balls sponsored by DUNLOP Taiwan and an OMNIX golf bag sponsored by Sun-Chong International.

Ruan Yi-qi is 20 years old and a sophomore at Taipei City University of Science and Technology, as well as a trainee at National Golf Country Club.

This week's event is the third tournament of the ThreeBond Challenge Tour season, with a total purse of NT$1 million and NT$150,000 for the champion. This is the first time Winnway International Co., Ltd. has served as a single-stop title sponsor. The event was co-organized by the Taiwan Professional Golfers' Association (TPGA) and ThreeBond, with Hsin Yi Golf Club as the co-organizer.

The tournament consisted of a 36-hole, two-round competition without a cut, featuring a total of 96 players, including 86 professionals and 10 amateurs.

Winnway International Co., Ltd. was founded in 2007 and primarily represents semiconductor packaging and testing materials and equipment. The team possesses extensive practical experience in the semiconductor industry and, driven by a high level of service enthusiasm, focuses on customers and industry trends to provide integrated solutions through professional judgment and technical support from suppliers.

During the awards ceremony, Chen Ching-jen, Chairman of Winnway International, remarked that the final day of the competition was both exciting and tense. Seeing the athletes compete on the field, he noted that patience is essential; a temporary setback does not mean permanent failure. He encouraged players not to give up, to build their strength, and to continue pursuing excellence.

Su Chin-hung, the sponsored player of title sponsor Winnway International, stated after his victory that this was his most special title yet. Chairman Chen of Winnway International expressed interest in sponsoring a men's professional golf tournament this year. Su expressed gratitude for winning four Challenge Tour titles within a year of turning pro and receiving the 2024 Rookie of the Year and ThreeBond Challenge Tour Money Leader titles. Thus, he wanted to give back to the platform that gave him the opportunity to win, leading to the creation of this event. "Taking the title while acting as a facilitator feels very special," he said.

He pointed out that, unlike before, he did not set a goal to win before the match. Instead, he changed his mindset, asking himself to focus on solid play, ensuring every ball hit the fairway and green. Today, his execution was spot-on, with a balanced performance across all aspects—stable drives, few iron mistakes, and strong putting.

Starting as a co-leader today, he finished the front nine with two birdies, leading Wu Zhi-yi by two strokes. On the 12th and 13th holes, he sank long putts of 18 and 27 feet for birdies, extending his lead from two strokes to four. These were the two critical holes that allowed him to relax. Over the final five holes, he had one birdie and one bogey, maintaining a lead of three to four strokes until his victory, having reached a maximum lead of five strokes during the round.

Su Chin-hung played a full season on the ADT last year, ranking 16th on the money list. He secured a full ADT card again this year and has played three tournaments so far, currently ranking 25th for the year. His main battlegrounds this year remain the ADT and the TPGA Tour, with the goal of winning titles on both.

He noted that he achieved a T2 finish on the ADT last year and hopes to win a title this year. He said that after a year of honing his skills on the ADT, he realized his shortcomings and areas for improvement, such as learning to relax mentally and not overthink. He also needs to strengthen his adaptation to different courses and gain more experience in handling various tournament conditions. As TPGA President Chen Jung-hsing said, every tournament is an accumulation of experience.

In addition to thanking ThreeBond and Chairman Chen of Winnway International, he also thanked his family for their support, as well as his sponsors: Yeander Group, Chain-Lien Group, Whizstone Material Technology, Ta Kang Shan Golf Course, Hsin Yi Golf Club, Hsin Chu Golf Club, his coaching team, and FENIX apparel.

For the ThreeBond Challenge Tour year-end rankings, Taiwan Fu Hsing Industrial Co., Ltd. continues to sponsor the Money Leader with a prize of NT$500,000, while the second-place finisher receives NT$300,000 and the third-place finisher receives NT$200,000.

ThreeBond is a multinational manufacturer of professional adhesives from Japan. This marks the 12th year it has served as the title sponsor of the TPGA Challenge Tour. There will remain 9 events on the 2026 ThreeBond TPGA Challenge Tour.
