2025 ThreeBond Fu Hsing Challenge
Final Round
2025/8/27
The 2025 ThreeBond Fu Hsing Challenge, with a total prize purse of NT$1,000,000, concluded its final round today (27th) at Nan Yi Golf Country Club. Li Jui-shen carded a 5-under-par 67 for a two-round total of 7-under 137, narrowly clinching the championship by one stroke and earning the winner’s prize of NT$150,000. This marks his second Challenge Tour victory of the season. He also claimed today’s low-round prize of NT$20,000.
Turning professional in September last year, Li secured his maiden professional title on June 11 at the Tour Around Taiwan Challenge, the third leg of the ThreeBond Challenge Tour at Songboling Golf Course in Nantou. Today’s win marks his second career title.
Hsieh Tung-hung fired a solid 68 to finish at 6-under 138, earning second place and taking home NT$75,000.
Wu Yao-wei carded a 69 for a two-round total of 140, finishing in third place. Yang Fei-hao posted a 68 to secure sole possession of fourth place at 142.
Taiwan Golf Club’s 16-year-old trainee player Kuo Shih-chi shot a 74 today, finishing at 1-over 145, winning the Best Amateur Award. He tied for 16th overall in the professional rankings and received five dozen SRIXON Z-STAR XV golf balls sponsored by DUNLOP International Co. and an OMNIX golf bag sponsored by Shang Chong International Co., Ltd.
The 24-year-old Li Jui-shen, who only turned professional in September last year, celebrated his second victory today. In his winner’s speech, he expressed gratitude to his training facility Nan Fong Golf Club, Chairman Yang, Mizuno Taiwan General Manager Mr. Chou, his sponsors — the board directors of Brolen Socks, Mr. Chang and Mr. Liu — MEGA Taiwan Company, his coach Chao Hsun-ting, and his parents for their constant support.
Starting the day tied with Hsieh Tung-hung at 2-under and just one shot behind leaders Chen Yuan-che and Li Shih-hung, Li birdied three holes on the front nine to take a one-shot lead over Chen and two over Hsieh. On the back nine, Chen and Li Shih-hung struggled with accuracy, recording several bogeys and gradually falling out of contention.
Taking advantage, Hsieh birdied holes 13 and 16 while Li missed birdie chances from holes 11 to 16. By the 16th, Hsieh had narrowed the gap to just one stroke. At the par-5 17th, both players birdied. Heading into the final hole, the par-4 18th, Li’s tee shot drifted slightly left, leaving him 188 yards from the pin with tree branches obstructing a direct approach. He played a six-iron layup short of the green, chipped to five feet, and calmly holed the par putt to seal a one-shot victory, while Hsieh settled for par.
After the round, Li admitted that aside from the winning putt, the par save on the par-4 16th was a critical moment. His tee shot strayed left into the cart path area, but he recovered beautifully with a nine-iron onto the right side of the green and two-putted to maintain his one-shot lead. At the 17th, he reached the green in two shots and converted the birdie to keep his lead heading into the final hole, eventually closing out the win by one stroke.
Li explained that although he was aware of his lead during the back nine, both he and his playing partner Hsieh Tung-hung — also a Mizuno-sponsored player — enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere throughout the round. They didn’t overthink the leaderboard or focus on the title chase, simply taking one shot at a time. It wasn’t until Li walked onto the 18th green and saw the scoreboard that he realized Hsieh was just one shot behind, making the five-foot par putt on the final hole especially nerve-wracking. Sinking the putt brought him immense relief.
Reflecting on his second victory, Li said his mindset was much calmer compared to his first win, where he battled Hsieh Ting-wei in a tense playoff, calling the first title “more exciting but nerve-wracking.” His next goal is to secure a victory on the Taiwan Tour.
This tournament was hosted by Taiwan Fu Hsing Industrial Co., Ltd. as the title sponsor, with ThreeBond as the overall event sponsor, organized by TPGA, and co-hosted by Nan Yi Golf Country Club.
Since 2018, Taiwan Fu Hsing Industrial has sponsored the ThreeBond Challenge Tour, initially partnering with Boway Group and later with Ming An International Enterprise to co-sponsor two Challenge events. Starting in 2019, the company has become the sole title sponsor, making this its eighth consecutive year supporting the ThreeBond Challenge.
This year, Taiwan Fu Hsing Industrial continues to sponsor the Order of Merit bonuses for both the TPGA Taiwan Tour and the ThreeBond Challenge Tour. The company is awarding NT$500,000, NT$300,000, and NT$200,000 to the top three players in the annual rankings, totaling NT$2 million in additional bonuses. This marks the seventh consecutive year the company has provided Order of Merit awards for both tours.
This event is the sixth stop of the 2025 ThreeBond TPGA Challenge Tour. The top five players on the season-long prize money list will earn exemptions into next year’s Taiwan Tour.
During today’s award ceremony, since no player scored a hole-in-one on any of the four designated holes, Taiwan Fu Hsing Chairman Lin Jui-chang awarded the NT$100,000 prize fund as a lucky draw instead, distributing NT$10,000 each to 10 fortunate players. In addition, Yuan Shan Appliances sponsored a premium “Instant Ice” Hot & Cold Water Dispenser, which was awarded to one lucky draw winner.
ThreeBond, an international company originating from Japan and renowned for its expertise in manufacturing industrial adhesives, has been a long-time supporter of TPGA and former chairman Chen Chih-chung for over 40 years. This marks the 11th consecutive year that ThreeBond has served as the overall title sponsor for the ThreeBond TPGA Challenge Tour. The 2025 ThreeBond TPGA Challenge Tour features nine events in total, with three remaining tournaments this season.
